Plant callus extracts have been shown to have effective anticancer activity. In a previous study, cancer cells (colon cancer cell line SW620), was treated with rice callus suspension culture and certain proteins were found to be differentially regulated (9 upregulated proteins and 3 downregulated proteins). Bioinformatic analysis was done for three upregulated and one downregulated proteins to elucidate the molecular mechanism of cancer progression in the RCSC treated cells. NCBI, STRING, KEGG, PDB and miRNA database searches were performed for the four proteins. Information about the gene size, chromosomal location, protein structure, protein interactions, and pathways was extracted and analyzed. Based on the previously mentioned attributes, possible role of upregulated proteins (Liprin?1, OFD1, SPINK5) and downregulated protein (Vinculin) in progression of cancer was predicted.en_US
