Substituted thiophene derivatives are very important heterocycles found in many biologically active and natural compounds. The Gewald multicomponent reaction was a remarkable discovery for the synthesis of wide variety of thiophene derivatives. Also the synthesis of the thieno pyrimidine derivatives as potential surrogates for this quinazoline core structure has, therefore, became a routine strategy in modern drug design and development. So we want do some multistep reaction to prepare thienopyrimidine derivative from thiophene which are very important core intermediates with various biological applications like anti-tumor, anti-bacterial, anti-microbial, anti-cancer agents.en_US
