In cities, people feel insecure, even in their own streets and houses with the rise in criminal activities. There is a big fear of crimes in the mind of people in the city, which arise from inequality, poverty, segregation, and injustice. This study focused on the six urban crimes in Bathinda city such as crime related to alcohol under Excise Act, drugs related crime under NDPS Act, gambling, snatching, house-break, and vehicle theft.
